Leak Detection & Accessories

ETP carries a full suite of leak detection products that range from our most popular BD-10 models that are intended for light use to our BD-50 & BD-60 models that have increased cycle time and are made to be used for longer durations. Each model that we carry has a unique set of features and a certain output voltage ideal for testing specific materials and linings with varying thicknesses.

We also provide a wide array of accessory electrodes for all leak detection models that further specialize your product so that it can be as effective as possible for your individual application. ETP carries 8 different electrodes that can help depending on the size and type of materials you’re testing.

How Our Accessories Can Help You

Here is some information about each of our electrodes to help you decide which one might be the best fit for your job or industry:

As shown above, these three electrodes are ideal for testing smaller surfaces. The Point Electrode Tip is the standard tip that every ETP tester comes equipped with besides the BD-20. This tip is quite versatile and can be used for many different applications – however, the Spring Electrode Tip and the BD-20A Spring Electrode Tip might be a better choice depending on your circumstances. These are especially useful if you are testing vacuum systems or working with sensitive materials such as glass.

When testing larger surfaces, it might be useful to try the Fan Tip, Brass Brush (available in 4” or 8” wide), or the T-Tip available in 4 ¼” or 12” wide). The Fan Tips and Brass Brushes are great for testing large, curved, or straight linings while the T-Tip is ideal for testing even larger, wider surfaces such as tank linings.

How Our Tool Can Help You

In order to ensure you are operating with accurate voltage, we also highly recommend using our Peak Voltage Calibrator:

This tool allows your leak detector’s voltage to be set accurately with repeatability which is especially useful when using a generator to detect flaws in very thin coatings and in lab work. These calibrators also come with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration.

In Conclusion

Hopefully, this information helps you optimize your leak detector for a specific use case and allows you to get the most out of your purchase – please feel free to ask any questions you might have or leave your thoughts in the form below!
